Playful dangle earrings, comprised of small Tagua cubes hanging from a thin steel wire. A single dried Tagua seed is hand-cut and shaped to small cubes. Each tagua cube is sustainable, organic, vegan and biodegradable: 100% vegetable ivory (Tagua seeds). These tagua earrings are fair trade and ethically handmade in Colombia.
When ripe, tagua seeds are harvested and dried for 6 to 9 months. After losing all their moisture they become rock solid resembling ivory in color, texture and hardness, hence their nickname: “Vegetable Ivory”.
